Prayer is the heartbeat of a devoted disciple’s life.
It is the primary way we communicate with Jesus, seek his presence, and participate in his kingdom. While prayer can feel intimidating, it doesn’t have to be. Simply put, the practice of prayer is engaging in conversation with God, who loves you and saved you into intimate relationship with him.
PRACTICE: Structure your day around your relationship with God by listening to him in silence, engaging in conversation with him, and seeking his provision and presence through fasting.

On Fasting:
The practice of fasting reminds us that our bodies play an integral role in expressing devotion to and dependence upon God. As we hunger physically, we express our deeper spiritual need for God.
