// DAY 4

“And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.”

Galatians 5:24-25

From “Fruit of the Spirit” (Week 4 of the Third Person message series) by Yancey Arrington, Oct. 6, 2019.

“I think of [small] groups as walking groups. You’re just getting with a bunch of other fellow pilgrims, and you’re just walking together, gradually over time, incrementally.”

CHALLENGE

Spiritual disciplines don’t grow anyone, but they create space where God can grow you. What spiritual disciplines do you practice? What spiritual disciplines do you do well? Which ones would you like to do better? What role has small group played in your spiritual walk? How does partnering with other believers in this way create space for God to work on you?

Write out the names of everyone in your small group. Thank God for them and the impact they have on you. Pray for your continued journey together.

And, if you aren’t in group, pray for your future group and the people who you might get to impact and be impacted by as a result.
