How do we find the time, space, and mindset to rest and abide in Christ?

We all need rest. We are all tired. It might be surprising to find out that God not only knows our need for rest, but he commands us to rest. To set time aside, without distractions, schedules, and busyness, to worship and enjoy God and all he has given us. Sabbath, a time to rest in Jesus, is a central discipline for devoted followers of Jesus.

PRACTICE: Dedicate a day or significant block of time in your week to stop working, rest, delight in and worship your Father in heaven. As a first step, try setting aside at least half a day each week to intentionally practice a Sabbath.
